This exhibition is modelled on new artistic practices inspired by libertarianist ideas which are currently happening in Spain. Practices which, beyond their own political content, are political on account of their conditions of production and distribution, unconnected to arts institutions, and attempting to overlap with particular social movements.
Useful Art. According to the curators of the project, “we want to highlight the potential of “useful art “to create new ways of relationship between art and society, including the possibility of an alliance with some truly transforming movements … but also treat their contradictions, such as the instrumentalisation of which this type of projects might the object when they turn into substitutes for real social change “
